is there any specific way to program "sub-bass" lines?
from what I gather:

Subbass = just a simple sine wave pitched low enough to fit your description of feeling it (but not too low - eqing out all below the 75 hz mark helps stop it from muddying up your mix). Add touches of resonance and distortion to the patch to see if it improves.
