Default DEPOT, BRISTOL TO CLOSE!!!! READ THIS!!!!!!!!

I've just spoken to Martin Pod who is one of the main guys at the Depot and he has confirmed that tonight will be the last ever night at the Depot due to a 40% rise in insurance costs which means that running the club would not be financially viable!! This is a big blow to the south west as this was one of the few decent all night venues left. They are trying to do another date, but it's not lookin promising!!

LOVE TO SAY I SOUND SUPRISED THAT YET ANOTHER DECENT UNDERGROUND CLUB IN THE SOUTH WEST , IN BRISTOL , HAS GAVE UP THE GHOST , BUT IM NOT !

    WHAT , THE **** , IS GOING ON !?

BEST TO GO BACK TO ENJOYING NIGHTS OUT IN CHART MUSIC PLAYING CLUBS , MINGLING WITH THE PISS HEADS , GETTING INVOLVED IN FIGHTS OVER NOTHING LIKE " WHAT DID YOU CALL MY GRAN "

    PISS TAKE , 100%

SORRY TO HEAR THIS , BUT WHAT THE **** EH ?

i am pissed off finding this out. depot holds alot of very dear memories for me. i've been playing there since the days of death row techno. wow, now i'm showing my age.

at the minute i'm still pretty speechless. i really can't believe this insurance crap is hitting so many clubs. this is VERY worrying for all of us involved in the club scene - clubbers and promoters/dj's alike.

    It's seriously gutting.

The Depot is an extremly good venue, Ive only been therwe a few times but its amazing esp that all night drink liscence ;)

It'll be said to see it go and Im gutted that I had a gig last night so I couldnt see it off.

We still have Lakota in Bristol for the big all nightness but the Depot will be sorely missed

Nah you're very wrong there mate...

What about Atmosphere, Hindsight, Club Destiny, GBH?

They are all going strong, Premonition isn't as good as any of those and I haven't been to DA...

GBH is no more Corbz. They are doing one more event & that was it for them. Mind you, now The Depot's closed, the last GBH I went too could have been the last ever.

Yeah I knew they were pretty non-existant now, but they did an event a while back and thought they were still floating in the scene background waiting to pounce back, but the others are still going strong.
