Techno vs Drum and Bass

i've often though that dnb and techno arent too dislimular. (i've had to draw upon these simularities when explaining the music i like to townies in essex )

just a side note though: imo alot of the best techno tracks written havent been that percursive

i disagre with that,the key to virtually all the best techno is excellent percusssion in them in my view.
