    Default Impossible tune ID...

Heard a tune on Saturday night at Antiworld...the main reason it stood out was the fact it was uplifting, which is rare for techno these days ;) The only thing I have to go on is there was the occasional sample of what sounded like Jim Morrison. Anyone know of any techno tracks that have sampled his voice recently? Of course there's a good chance it wasn't him, in which case I will have to accept this tune will never be mine.

Do you know what room you were in? And roughly what time it was?

Nah it definitely wasn't Close Your Eyes. It was in the techno room (naturally ;)), not long before Lawrie Immersion came on...so I would guess around 5am?

To describe the sample a bit better...sadly I couldn't work out what was being said, but there was the uplifting section, then it would stop for around 16 bars, no beats, and that's when the speech came in. Then it would go back into that same melody again...this probably repeated 2 or 3 times.

Oh, and it was hard ;)

Bonza! That's the one...doesn't sound anywhere near as hard as I remember it though. Certainly don't remember the plucky guitar bit over the top either!

Aye, it was a little bass heavy  It used to be a lot better but since they stopped using the KSS system (basically a wall of speakers) they've been having problems.

Lawrie Immersion was, like Ferrero Rocher, "echellente". Hard but without being mindnumbing for the entire 90 minutes. Even had my friends who aren't normally technoheads stomping away! I'd be lying if I can say I remember the details though ;)

Oliver Ho was the main surprise. Started off very hard and pretty much carried on that way for the next hour and a bit. Not bad but after the first few tunes he didn't really leave himself anywhere to go. I certainly didn't expect him to play that hard!
