    Default Tiesto "Adajio Of Strings"

I think that's what its called.

Anyhow when i heard it i thought it was an immense tune although i did hear it on a pretty good system.

It's got the riff out of Push "Universal Nation," and the kick is heavy especially for Tiesto!
You don't expect the Kick, it comes from nowhere. It sounds like Tiesto swings the EQ'ing of the track Bass-Heavy and cuts the mid and you can just hear the melody underneath, sounds very nice!

    Any thoughts?

i think - this as well as all the other versions except mat silver one are ****ing horrendous but thats just me

I liked tiestos older stuff (theme from norjfell and flight 643, Sparkles and the stuff with corsten) but not anything since

Ferrys is untouchable imo, although i thought tiesto done a well good job of making it different. Hard as **** aswell.

Mat silvers one really doesnt float my boat, thought it sounded like the riff had been written on music 200 on the playstation.

very good but like people have said not as good as mat silvers.

good production same synth as tiesto always uses though, hes used the same patch for the last 3 tracks,
    love comes again
    traffic
    and this adagio.

i also prefere his older stuff: in my memory, sparkles, loves on fire etc.

there was no need for this mix.

Ferrys was good enough. tiesto should move on and get his own ideas. look at his oakenfold rip off of radiohead street spirit, its pish compared to oakenfolds.

To be honest i'm not sure which mix i have heard. I just know it was Tiesto "Adajio of Strings" Im suspecting it was the Tiesto Mix?
So if Tiesto's is that good, i will have to check out Corstens Mix!

corstens was the original adagio for strings remix.
william orbit is a composer who takes old classical music like barbers adagio for strings then remakes them using synths. ferry took it another step forward and made it into a dance track.

classic trance track and prolly the best mix production wise.

as far as what you said about tiesto's craig the kick isnt heavy at all. its actually eqed more to mid and is puchy but when blasted through a system it can sound harder. theres pratically no bass in that kick just loads of compression. hes quite clever how he eq things compared to other producers, removes all the bass from the kick so he can put loads of synths in the bass end of the eq spectrum.

aye the mat silver one doesnt do it for me anymore either,
kinda just like ferrys but with this new synth line that runs through from the break.
perc and bass etc is different but it looses the atmosphere that samuel barber originally put into the piece back in the 17th centuary or when ever it was. lol

Yeah, i mentioned it before, i did hear it on quite a good system and i know this does make a difference. The Kick sounded proper Punchy
