    Default Arkus p

Seen arkus p in edinburgh last nite, he was on with kramer.... but arkus stole the show. his set was top banana, really, really good. Hard, but not just for the sake of it, a bit thought behind it.

Wasnt really into kramer, seemed to bang it, and that was it.

was it kramer or kremer paul?

Arkus P has always had that melodic touch to his productions. That definition release I still rate as one of his better ones, the last LFR his worst.

wasnt the hard trance kramer, was the hard, techno/schranz all things distorted kraemer??? (if thats how u spell it? Tbh he was alright, just for me got a little stale. Most tracks he played were very similer, quite fast aswell. Arkus was playing some groovier funkyish stuff, which broke it up a bit. He was ace.

call me an old granny but arkus is just too banging for me. To be honest when ever i have listened to his tunes i have only skipped them so i couldnt say if i think his productions are good for that style.

I hope im not getting old too quick! I just find them harsh, infact most hard techno i find harsh, damn im gettin old :( hehe.

Mind you i guess theres hard techno then HAAAARD techno.

At Kremers rate, we may as well rename gabba hard tech...some of it is starting to sound very similar. I remember going to dedicated gabba nights a few years back...gosh it used to be some thing completely different back then, away from the norm of minimal tech I suppose...still, you can't beat knocking down a few points of speed, and losen a couple of pounds while you're at it.

There's that alright, but he does occasionally have a brainless banging track which does stand out, sometimes he can work his kickdrums in a really cool way although I can easily understand why people wouldn't watch or listen out for his stuff anymore.. there's been a lot of bad stuff alright.
