Yes, I agree. It's all very well saying punters have to come out (although i'd be the first to say that myself too) but the bottom line is : Are we giving people enough good reasons to come out? Club decor/decent sound & lighting/varying styles of techno etc. all go a long way if you are trying to get people to choose a small techno club over a well established big club. A bit of style to the night other than the bare essentials helps a lot, and a friendly attitude on behalf of the clubnight helps too, I'm not sure what this should entail (Glasses of techno champagne on the way in would be a good start!) but a welcoming word or two from the promoter or associate adds a nice personal touch.Originally Posted by jonnyspeed
I think a big downside to clubnights and their future is the widespread unhelpfulness of the venues or venue owners involved.
