the basis is there for a good track, but the mix need's bringing to life a bit more, it all sounds a little dull, especially the kick.
some more eq and compression and really work on the sound's a little more and this will sound alot better
Life is "trying things to see if they work"

Finally getting around to updating my site

Yeah, as dan said. This is very flat to the ears.
There is no balance between the kick and the hat, so the groove isn`t working.
Try to really open up the frequency range you are covering here.
Maybe add some more intricate programming to the hat, and some more clarity to the kick.
Use compression and EQ to fill the small percussion sounds out into a bigger space.
Overall, this sounds like the backbone of a track, and needs more elements to give it direction.
    Solitary by nature.
    Isolation is the gift.
Does anyone have courage to stand apart any more?
