not when ive seen him he hasnt...

and even if he did, chazbloke is hardly an A List DJ like Yoji.
a bit of a difference there methinks. yoji probs has 2 knock back gigs every day, and he can pick and choose which of the biggest events on the globe he wants 2 play at. where as chazbloke is just trying to establish himself as a DJ.

i say never limit urself to what u can do. make urself available for ANY night u get offered. bein fussy will get ya no-where. saying u cant mix on technics without a days practise sounds pretty amatuer-ish to me tbh from a promoter's point of view. ;)
Well I can see both sides of the argument, I know what you mean, but you seem to be quite assuming in what Chaz is actually aiming for. Maybe he isn't really interested in getting somewhere, but is just interested in playing music the way he wants to play it.

I can't speak for him, but I know Chaz puts on free parties so it seems he's far more interested in the music itself than using it to gain fame, in which case his standpoint on the decks issue is more than understandable.

However you are right that if a person is simply interested in becoming famous then this is the wrong way about it. Personally I value integrity more than fame, which is why I agree with Chaz's view.
