who said anything about becoming 'famous'???
and Voorheez, u were the one who started going on about Yoji etc and it never did his career any harm etc, so it was u who started going on about being 'famous'...slight hypocricy there...

ive put on plenty free parties myself mate, ur not the only 1 ;)
all i said was that if u cant (or wont) mix on a set of technics, u are limiting urself.
simple as that. i can mix on technics or vestax although the vestax (to me) are like toy decks.

stop getting so much on the defensive bud, im no tryin 2 put u down, im just having a discussion with ya. so less of the '**** off' and so on eh...

there's free parties and then there's a south east free party - i wont go into it, you will have had to have been to one to explain - please do come along to our next one mate, i'd really love for you to experience how we do things.....i still havent been to a legal party/event/club that comes close to the parties on my home stomping ground (that in includes the london scene aswell...)

i was only on the defensive as you were implying that i am amaturish and a bad DJ because i need a day's practice on decks that i compare with belt drives and then re-think an entire set/act/records_i've_played_for_the_last_3_years_at_any_sp eed_i_like due to not having the flexabilty to go above +10 (i hate when a DJ gets it wrong and has the slow the current record down as they have gone to far up the pitch!) well, that just go my back up so thought i'd throw a few obsenties in there as i was pissed off at that.

as i originally said, i dont want to get into the whole Vestax vs Technics thing, but all i will say is the large majority of vestax owners i know wont go near a pair of techics, like me, they prefer to pass the headphones.... where as, all the Technics owners i know have no qualms about mixing on Vestax, infact they love using them and wish they could trade in...
but like yourself, they fall for the club=technics and stick with the techincs.....

if it means missing a couple of gigs because of it, like i originally said, i dont care, least i know when i do play i'll be playing the way i want to play and so far, none of this has been an issue, but i am well aware it will be in the future.....

nah - I reckon u stick to ur Tax dude...... your sets are always wicked.....

i really love my 2300's........... much more fun to mix on than technics IMHO, true, I'm not as good on technics....... but I ain't bad at adjusting the speed on any spinning wheel so it's the right speed either  as long as the torque's there.....

my old housemate (had technics for years) misses my vestax like ****..... he don't think they are neccesarily better...... just fun.......

to say that they are shit, fisher price, and not real decks Ben, really is uneducated.......(remembver ya makin same comments to me on screamer)........

try and be open minded to all manner and kind of DJ;s dude........ there ain;t no wrong way as long as it sounds good......... soooooo many DJ's dig Vestax, so u can't be the authority to label them as shit........ and force that opinion on others............

Nobody, but you said 'being fussy will get you nowhere' implying that Chaz will never get anywhere unless he plays on Technics.

and Voorheez, u were the one who started going on about Yoji etc and it never did his career any harm etc, so it was u who started going on about being 'famous'...slight hypocricy there...

No, no hypocrisy at all because I only brought up Yoji to demonstrate that it is still possible to play clubs if you bring your own decks. I mention becoming famous etc because it's what it seem's you're implying. Chaz thought exactly the same as I did, so it's definitely what it seems like you are implying. It's highly unlikely that we both would have read the same general thing from your post if it wasn't there.

ive put on plenty free parties myself mate, ur not the only 1 ;)

If this is all you think you said then I think you need to re-read the post and realise how you come across some times.

stop getting so much on the defensive bud, im no tryin 2 put u down, im just having a discussion with ya. so less of the '**** off' and so on eh...

I think everyone has been quite tolerant with you, but you pushed Chaz a bit too far, hence his reaction. You're on the defensive now but you've been quite insulting to Chaz in this post. It's insulting to hijack a post intended for someone's feedback when they expressly ask you not to, and you've been insulting in the way you've put across your views here. Technics v Vestax is a person's preference, and people are going to have different opinions so it's useless to try to force your own opinion on someone.

I think if you were a bit more tolerant of other's opinions and a bit more considerate of where you posted it, this debate would have been able to continue without anyone getting offended at all.

im just having a discussion with ya

See there really doesn't seem like there's any room for discussion with you. That statement seems far more hypocritical than anything i've said.

Yeah, but that's where you should have left it and started a new post somewhere else because Chaz asked you to not turn it into a Vestax v Technics debate. Which you then went on to do anyway. Thats called hijacking a thread and going off topic.

    2. this discussion has got f*ck all to do wi you to be perfectly honest, and u have kept it going...
It has got something to do with me. I'm a member of this public discussion board and I was giving support to another member's argument. I have kept it going because there was still more to say, and will do until I feel there isn't.

3.i pushed him too far?!! WTF! insulting?! WTF!
Yes, by which i'm referring to you constantly putting down his opinion, then acting all innocent when he loses his temper. Insulting? Yes! Check this:

    sounds totally ridiculous
vestax will NEVER be industry standard mate. dont kid urself
do u no feel a bit silly
get rid of those cheap plastic, fisher price decks man
chazbloke is hardly an A List DJ
    sounds pretty amatuer-ish
bein fussy will get ya no-where

Don't you think those are statements that might be better put in a different manner if you honestly don't mean to aggravate? It's an offensive way of putting yourself across that seems intentional.

4.i just got a PM from chaz saying he enjoyed our discussion, so dry ur eyes and get over it eh FFS!!!
Well I don't enjoy discussing with you, that's for sure! I can't think of anything worse because you've got a very immature and superior attitude on things. I try to be nice and reason to you, saying I can see your side of the argument, but you then go on the offensive at me.

How old are you if I can ask that? It's just that you seem real young in the way you act.

    reality check for mr Voorheez!!
i'm 27 m8. if u dont like discussing with me, then dont, simple!
its u who's acting like mother superior here...

everything u say is right??, thats the way im reading it.
i wasnt going on the offensive at you, i have no reason to.
i was discussing something with chaz and u stuck ur beak in.
simple as that. no disrespect intended to anyone, good luck 2 chaz and urself voorheez, but please dont act like a know-it-all, as thats the way u come across with ur big speils and ur big words.

    end of story. ;)

nice mix chaz, i liked it a lot. ;)

I love the fact that you don't reply to any of my points, which i'll take as hopefully they sunk in a bit.

I honestly only mean to try to help here, whether it was helping Chaz's side of the debate or helping you try not to cause offence if you did not mean to - I was only trying to show you where you maybe had caused confusion or offence, not trying to alter your opinion or argue with you at all.

I can think of much worse things to be called than a mother superior, and hopefully that means that my nice side shows through, but i'm not always right, and i'm certainly not a know it all, that's just not me, and hopefully there are more than a few members on here that will vouch for me on that.

I agree, lets just leave it there, and I apologize if I you think I have been 'sticking my beak in' as it certainly wasn't intended as that.

Just had Chaz (Snort) to play for me at Resonate. Unfortunately we wern't in a position to change over the decks so he had to play on "Shetnics" and he did a fine job too.
By the way Chaz I've got that set on MP3 my son, get on the MSN at the weekend and I'll send it to ya! ;)

erm, so yea - after all my whining, i had to fukin play on them crap ass turn tables ;)
but in my defence, when i was told i couldnt have the vestax swapped over, i did ask not to play and move the date to sometime when the decks could be swapped out.....but was too late, cos flyers had already been designed...
all went OK, a few dropped beats here n there, but no spoon outs...
just a shame it was so FUKIN SLOW! all the MiSSiON crew couldnt get their jump on proper ;) and the hardstyle i played just didnt sound right, far too ploddy, no flow to it....

    Vestax FOREVER!
