[quote="andres-tek"]I use Sony Track Compressor (Software), in the master of the FL Studio
and I use the following parameters
Input gain ----- 0
Output gain ----- 0
Threshold ----- 0,0
Amount ----- Inf.
Attack ----- 25
Release ----- 250
Auto gain compensation ------ ON
Hi,
I have never tried the sony virtual one,but watching your sets I will say that threshold is the MOST important parameter, I would put it for mastering purposes at like -10 .A
Amount is like ratio, I guess ,be very subtle with it unless you want your track sound like a brick.
Put it at 3;1 or so,very minimun never at INF or you will LIMIT instead of compress, the inverse efect as you or me would want..
Try attack and release to yor taste, when you start listening to some compress but I would recommend to the 1st quarter clockwise or so.
Software compressors aren´t the best way to learn the art of compressing,I would recommend you to buy an used behringer old one at get familiar with settings as is a very nice and cheap unit.
suerte!
