    Default RIPSNORTER: On the move...

Ripsnorter has been packing out The Depot for 5 years and the last 14 months have been the busiest ever. We have a fanatical following from all over the UK who travel to Bristol knowing Ripsnorter’s levels of production, unique atmosphere and varied but high quality underground music policy guarantees them a top night out.

The unfortunate closure of The Depot has forced The Ripsnorter Crew to look elsewhere for underground venues to take our special vibe – we try to look beyond the way in which potential venues have been used in the past.

Far from wallowing in self-pity and bemoaning ‘the death of dance music’ etc, we’re very excited about some of the places we’ve seen and the opportunities they could bring.

We propose to use a variety of Bristol venues this autumn, starting in October with The Black Swan. This underrated venue has the labyrinth effect similar to The Depot, with one other advantage – the courtyard!

We are looking forward to putting our awesome TurboSound rig and Striking Lightshow in the main arena, covering the wall space of this multi-roomed venue with the newly completed set of Mayan-inspired Ripsnorter backdrops, and for the first time, making full use of an outdoor area within a club.

Wherever Ripsnorter has gone, it has utilized venues that have traditionally been marketed to, or frequented by, a completely different crowd; for example The Rummer Basement and The Depot…and The Black Swan is no exception.

We are confident that The Rippers will trust our judgement and approach the venues we select with an open mind…and come, READY TO PARTY!

We have an awesome line up to start the season – some regular Ripper favourites plus some new blood making their Ripsnorter debuts.
