Default last week was my 1st hardstyle night

and i was really really impressed with the warm up DJ, but then M-Zone came one....

i found M-Zones set to be technically unfaultable, but just a little baoring to listen to due to it consisting of *exactly* the same bassline through out and not having anything going on in the higher frequences.

Mark EG was due to play but couldnt due to his recent injery (i was gutted  ) so M-Zone played the rest of the whole of the night

over all, i can say i've given hardstyle a chance and wasnt taken by it, but would be curious to hear if there are more interesting/diverse hardstyle DJs out there than just a filthy kick drum that was M-Zones set

Hardstyle all pretty much revolves around different variations of the same bassline, there are some variations, but again they are bass driven.

Mark EG allways Plays a nice mixture of techno/Hardtrance & Hardstyle

M-zone can be like that, But sometimes he plays the best set ever sometimes hes just lazy

Then there loads of good Mixes on the Tunez part of this Forum, DJ Snorts is good

not the best comment considering i'm a techno head :P

belive me when i say that a *good* techno set can be diverse and interesting as anyother genres. just like unimaginitive hardstyle DJs, if a techno DJ is unimaginitive then his music will just be a series of drum loops and percussion. but good creative techno will have many different sounds, 'moods' styles etc.

yeah man i agree with u,

but i sed hardsound tunes were all sounding the same, and with my experiance of techno it does sound very repetive..

ah right. i'm with you now. i do agree with you there, but i think its as much to do with 'educating' (for want a better word) yourself to spot the changes.

for example all hardtrance to me sounds like bosh-bosh-bosh-bosh build-up bosh-bosh-bosh-bosh. but thats not to say that all hardtrance sounds the same, i just dont listen to enough of the stuff to know one track from another. just like if you dont listen to techno much you wont be as used to spotting the differences in techno.
