Americhord - LIVE [D1]
Giles Armstrong [electricity]

Admission : e12 / e10 with flyer

Hello,

Just to inform you that due to the cancellation of dates in the UK, Paul
Kalkbrenner will now not be appearing at the BPitch Control Records party at
Electric City this Thursday. In his place we have got the outstanding
Americhord in to play a cracking live set. Americhord last played the club
before Vitalic and in many people's eyes she stole the show that night. Her
recent release, the 'Enter' EP has been getting much props and plenty of
spins worldwide while coming up is the second release on D1aspora, due
before the year is out.

Ellen Allien, will of course be there in full effect to headline - the
BPitch Control label owner and DJ extraordinaire, played an absolutely
storming set at our first birthday party back in March we've been hounded to
get this Berlin beauty back behind the turntables at Electric City.

From it's first release in 2000, BPitch Control has been one of the most
consistently varied labels around with artists such as Heiko Laux, Tok Tok,
Housemeister, Johannes Heil, Smash TV, Kiki (& Silversurfer), Sasha Funke
and Ellen all releasing killer albums and 12's over the past four years at a
rate of 25 a year. Ellen herself has recorded two albums and one remix
compilation alongside several 12"'s. Her DJ'ing skills are truly as varied
and as exemplary with her Weiss.mix featuring tracks seamlessly mixed from
people such as Akufen, Andrea Parker, Phonecia, Superpitcher and
Squarepusher. With a cracking new Mix CD 'My Parade' featuring Plaid, Midi
Rain, Step Time Orchestra and much more about to drop this is the perfect
chance to hear Ellen play a much anticipated headline slot in Dublin. Not
relying on whiney vocals or gimmicky uniforms Ellen is a true Berlin pioneer
and the longevity and standards of her music and label are proven in the
fact that it is close on reaching it's 100th release.

Electric City's father-figure & Space podium dancer, Giles Armstrong will
put a nurturing hand over the turntables at the beginning of the night and
will endeavour to guide and influence and care for the music through the
course of it's first 90 minutes of life on this extraordinary Thursday
evening.
