This Thursday sees the return to Electric City of the Milky Bar kid
of French techno, DJ Tioneb [aka Benoît Pueyo]. Tioneb played an excellent
warm up set to Paul Damage on his last visit to Dublin back in May last
year. So impressed by his set that night we had to get him back to play a
headline slot this time. Hailing from Toulouse, Benoit started DJing in the
Summer of 1998. He quickly began mixing techno and was heavily influenced by
the sounds of Detroit and the astonishing skills of Jeff Mills while at the
same time he was spinning on local radio shows and some small parties. A few
years later Tioneb turned to mixing on three decks without giving up his
style and got some gigs abroad and at some bigger parties in his home
country. At present he is producing his own tracks and later this year will
see his first release on www.edensonic.com . If you can't wait until then

Support comes from Shaun Mac. One of the men behind the excellent Ice9
summer parties, Shaun has been a regular on the Dublin electro scene for the
last few years. Having been involved in the early Neuromantek parties Smac
has played at many venues around town such as Bodkins,. Electrc City and at
Loose Electrix parties, not to mention supporting Transparent Sound at
Electric Circus in Waterford. While famed across the Dublin postcodes for
playing electro, Smac's DJing sound has slowly evolved to include the sounds
of Cologne and dubbed up minimal techno offerings so expect a musically
varied and expertly mixed set.
