    Default Tocsin - "Double Dutchy"[sp] - Bastard Loud 18

Hey guys. This is our latest album that was released on Bastard Loud a couple months ago. I don't know how much promotion it's got and, given we're not a name, I don't know how many people have heard it. I'm posting an mp3 for all the tracks on it and would definitely appreciate any feedback on them. The tracks are kind of a mix of the old and new spanning the last 4 years. None of us in the Tocsin project have a luxury of living nearby anyone into hardcore so we barely know anyone that has even heard it.

Oh, and just a heads up for people here, nothing is less than 200bpm. I don't know which forum this would be appropriate or since I don't see any hardcore rleated forums.

    [A1] "Double Dutchie"

^^^ This one was a play on hardcore, acid and rhymes that would be of the type you'd hear in US Jump Rope competitions. More of a fun track with all female MCs.

    [A2] "Jumped"
    http://acidgrave.gabber.org/bl18/tocsin-jumped.mp3

^^^ This one was just a remix of a popular commercial hip-hop track.

    [A3] "NeverSpank"
    http://acidgrave.gabber.org/bl18/tocsin-neverspank.mp3

^^^This one is a playful mockery of one of our close friends, DJ Nevermind. For awhile, we were getting a lot of our samples through recording phone conversations with firends and egging them on to talk shit. While it wasn't our goal, Nevermind started talking more shit about himself. So, we sampled it into a track that we workd on with DJ Amok from NJ of Apoalypse Recordings and, unlike others who have been subjected to te same childish jokes, Nevermind took it in stride and didn't punch any of us. ;) It is also recorded in a mix by DJ Smurf which I strongly recomend downloading because the mix is ****ing awesome.

    [B1] "Behold"
    http://acidgrave.gabber.org/bl18/tocsin-behold.mp3

^^^ This one was done exclusively by DJ Dismal of Tocsin. It's more of a minimal/warehouse hardcore track.

    [B2] "Super Bull"
    http://acidgrave.gabber.org/bl18/tocsin-superbull.mp3

^^^ This one is a breakier hardcore track with some acid. It's a subtle joke comparing US politics and the war on terror to an American College Football game.

Again, any feedback is appreciated and I hope you guys like it. :)

Man, Double Dutchie is sick piece of old school style hardcore. Totally reminds me of the old days. I'd definately get crazy if this was being played. Good shit
