The country club, what can i say , i spent 3-4 years of my life there and it changed my life in such a big way . b4 i went to club i did'nt like going clubbing much as most clubs were full of assholes and nobody cared that the sound in nearly all clubs i had been to was very very bad and yet the main reason people go clubbing is to hear music, when i found the country club clive had only been running it for a short time but yet he was already on a never-ending mission to give people something extra , the vibe in this place was spiritual , nobody cared how many people were there. I remember the new years eve party for the millennium it was 9 in the morning mark was on the decks and played what I would have to say was the most rememrable set I've ever herd with the best vibe with only about 100 people left standing. This club introduced me to the happy people in club land and now thanks to the contacts I made at the club and the ambition it gave me I moved to London to open "basement vinyl" a record shop and studio which has been more successful than I could ever dream.
Thank you to the country club and thank you to Clive who put every effort into making every sat night worthwhile .....
