I think it's worth it when there is constructive talk about music and exchanges of technical information and tricks used to achieve certain sounds.

Another HUGE positve is the network of international music friends that are created if the board is serious about music (like this one)

But when it comes to all this pointless arguing over what is proper techno and slagging certain styles of techno and blah blah blah then yes it is a huge battleship-sized load of shit.
