    Default new work in progress

    H3lx - Untitled

feedback appreciated, havent done any eqing just yet, and only a rough mix

and seeing as where thats where i seem to be falling down a bit, i thought some advice from folks off here might help me somewhat

    thanks

seems like there is too much reverb, and that will make your eqing job a nightmare. try using a high shelving filter to cut the highs out of your reverb. that should bring your sounds closer to the front.

also, there is almost no bass, but i don't want to guess as to why that is.

    cheers

theres absolutely HEAPS of bottom end where im listening from :?: :?: :?:

threw it through a spectrum analyser to be sure and according to that theres almost more going on from 20-65hz than in the rest of the track, yet everyones saying theres no bass

i honestly cant hear the lack of bass at all, from this end theres definitely TONNES of bottom end in the tune

only reverb is on the hats in the 3rd section, which i really dont like and am gonna change first off

the bass thing is freakin me out tho, ive even compared it to other tracks and it sounds equally as bassy or more so in some cases. hope to jesus my hearing isnt after screwing up on me

i dunno man. my spectrum analyzer shows it dropping off sharply below 80hz. maybe it's your mp3 encoder.
