Only a fool would leave Rio out of the defence when he's fit...

He's by far the best defender England have...

Rio is a class above any other defender, he reads the game so well, he puts his foot on the ball, never gives it away and talks. Campbell would be my ideal partner for him although Terry could do just as good a job. England a blessed with good centre halfs which Is good.

In my opinion i don't think England would of conceded as many goals in Euro 2004 if Rio was there.

    i put Rio and Cambell

i think King deseves a mention he is solid and so cool on the ball, he is also a better passer of the ball than cambel and terry, he can also play in midfield.

Rio is class it must be said but im not sure he is at his best at the mo

back three would be good, with johnson and cole as wing backs...

    i would do:

    ______________________Robinson____________________ ___

    _______Ferdinand_______Terry_________Campbell_____ ____

    Johnson_______________________________________Cole ___

    __________Beckham____Gerrard____Lampard___________ __

    ________________Owen_________Rooney_______________ _

    Class team!

It was a tough choice between Owen & DeFoe, but i think Owen works better with Rooney than DeFoe.

Johnson is nowhere near as good or experienced as Gary Neville on the right...

Gary Neville has been good for england, but he's getting ona bit now (how old is he? Id guess about 30 :?: ). Glenn Johnson is excellent going forward, id say he's a very similar player to Ashley Cole.
