I had one.. sold it because I got Live4 and the less gear I carry around the better.

is it usable a a loop playback machine such as ableton live?
the specs seem to indicate that it only has 2 tracks capable of this
im not talking about timestretching, just playback of several pre tempo matched loops

Yeah it only has two slots for loops. So no, it is not as capable as Live in that sense.
If you are only playing back loops, and have no desire to make your own patterns, then it probably isn't for you ;)

I guess I should mention that I am using mostly one hit samples and making my own patterns.. and that was not as easily done in Live3 as it is in Live4 so that's why I went out and purchased the esx at the time.

you can use the other slots for loops.. just have to beat match it yourself and stick to one bpm
