The other difference is that if you are using 3 of the channels like if you were playing with 3 turntables, on the 600 you can use the crossfader to cut between the channels whereas with the 500, you would have to turn the crossfader off to be able to manipulate all three channels. The crossfader on the 500 only works between 2 channels.

You also get more control of the effects with the 600 versus the 500.

If you were choosing between the two, I would recommend the 600. That is my opinion however.

As been said there are a few more efx on the 600, but also you can change the timing of your efx (e.g. 1/2 beat, 3/4 beat, etc) at the push of a button whereas with the 500 you have to do it manually (per se) with the parameter knob.

There's certain other little things like you don't have control over the crossfader curve on the 500 as well.

And I don't know if this applies to all 500s / 600s, but on the ones that I've used the EQ on the 500s was much smoother/not so harsh, whereas the 600's EQ was almost like a kill switch when turned completely down.

All in all though, for the few extra quid it'll knock ya, you'd be better getting the 600 imo.

I'm not actually wild about efx, rarely use them, they bore me most of the time. If you need fx to liven your set up you need new tunes.

They are a good mixer though, but if I had the cash I'd defo get me one of them A&H x:one92s, they look the bizness
