Default [Tresor214] Joey Beltram - The Rising Sun

Best album this year in my opinion.
Typically Beltram's sound, but it's definately a winner.

    So what do you think?

Its not as dirty as his older tresor stuff but sounds good and is very mix friendly.

I'm in Paris right now. I've been playing this record out all tour, all thru Europe, it is a burner! Brings down the house everytime. Beltram is a production genius.

Hmm, gotta go against the grain here - I'd like to hear it on vinyl but from the clips on Juno - it seems very midrange heavy, almost euphoric. Good if you're into that sorta thing, but to be honest I only liked the couple of filtered disco tracks and the break track. No minimal, stripped down chunk on here unfortunately.

Will be giving it a listen on vinyl before writing it off altogether though.

There's a few corkers on this. Not mad on the over eager FX and DJ style cutups on some of the tracks, but all in all it's a very strong package. Is it just me or is the kickdrum in loads of the tracks identical to the one from Red 2?

I mostly enjoy the trax that have more techy sounds in them.all the trax are well written but im personally tired of the disco sounds hes been sticking with. But I still give this album a high rating. Im just a sucker for Beltram i guess.
