Not a train fan myself, much prefer taxis. Works out pretty decent if there's a few of you. Manchester to Leeds = £60. Only £6 more expensive than the train collectively.

Tickets not on sale yet, got the carola night to do first but I'm sure we could bung a few aside for you. Should be a good night, I can't bloody wait.

I know what you mean about taxi's but I pretend to be asleep for the first 5 minutes and then the bugger wont talk to you. Then you just gaze out of the window in a confused state thinking how shi*e trains are :lol:

I have a rule for taxi's - if they STFU they get a really good tip - if they try to start just one conversation I'll pay the minimum fair possible and may even try to haggle them down to the nearest pound.
