    Just seen on the news that John Peel Has died of a heart attack whilst on a working holiday in Peru.

    I am lost for words, he was a hero of mine and I listened to his show religiously :cry: :cry: tuesday, wednesday & thursday nights will never be the same

    Also just heard this a genuine loss to broadcasting and music in general its just not possible to sum up the great work he achieved for underground music of all types for 40 odd years a great legacy but will be sadly missed.

    It is a sad day for many reasons.
    For his family, for british radio and for independant and diverse non commercial music.
