right, ive noticed this with a couple of you lot now... you dont seem to mind playing 2 mixes of one track in one mix. now i dont like really even playing 2 tracks off one label or by one person in a single mix myself but do you all find this completely acceptable??

yeah ive noticed everyone plays too much uberdruck - not just on this board but other mixes ive heard. I find most of his productions although excellent sound too simililar imo.
    something for your mind.........

I think it is acceptable, i try not to use to 2 mixes of the same track but a lot of the time they fit into the mix well and give it a good flow, if you know what i mean.
Yeh i know what you mean matt, about 2 out of 3 mixes that i hear on the net have at least one uberdruck track, i dont use a lot of uberdruck stuff because i think they have become a bit too popular in the underground scene.

I used to think like that but the odd two tunes by the same artist fit together really well and the average clubber isn't gonna really know the difference. Why should it matter? You shouldn't play a whole set of it of course.

I don't think it maters to a great extent, I suppose playing two different mixes of the same tune could be a little excessive, as long as you make an effort not to play both mixes for to long though it'll be fine I reckon..

Uberdruck tunes though are so easy to mix into each other, because of those bass lines I can see the advantage, id probably be doing the same thing...

yeah hence why i dont own one uberdruck vinyl, not cos i dont think hes not talented as a producer cos hes excellent but everyone plays his stuff so i try and aim away from the rest of the crowd

I don't go quite as far as to not buy any of his releases but there's a certain style that he does that I like and I only buy tunes with this style. For me his ACIDY stuff is best, really pumping! Not too keen on the melodic trance he does except maybe "The Speed"

Come on guys what the hell is wrong with you?
I can't believe some of you don't even buy their stuff or even dont listen to it anymore!!
Where talking the best Hard Trance producers on the Planet here, and you don't even buy it?? I think that is crazy!!
So what its popular in the Underground scene its because its so damn good!!

Listen, its by no way commercial and never will be, so what you all worrying about?
I think its very sad people not buying it because its popular in the undergorund scene, i totally disagree with this.

    As for this Mix.....

I didn't for one second go into one tiny bit of detail where tracklisting is concerned. I just fancied doing a quick recorded mix, with the Style of Acid Trance. I just picked out some of my Acid records, hit record and then basically mixed on from there.
Obviously, i wanted to build my mix up and by having a good idea of my records i did so.
I wasn't worrying about 'too' much Uberdruck being on, or by playing 2 of the different mixes on the 'same' track.
I mixed on the fly, and just concentrated on my mixing and building my set up.
I mean, if i was to do a proper 'studio mix,' i would put a lot of thought into my mix....just to get it spot on.......and no i wouldn't play 2 mixes of the same track.
I just hit record listened over it at the end, it sounded pretty good, so i thought i just stick it up on here......that's all.

Finally, as for Uberdruck, i play what i like and Uberdruck is my fav style so i stuck quite a few in. I still can't get over some of you not buying Uberdruck!! Thats bad!!

I don't agree about not buying records just cos' others like them, that's stupid. I don't listen to Uberdruck tunes when they come out anymore simply because I don't like their new stuff - I don't see anything wrong with that.

ok ok it might be eat my words time
I said that i think hes an excellent producer one of the best, but i find most of his tunes sound the same thats all.
I meant to point out that most demo cds Ive heard have loads of uberdruck on it which to me seems really unimaginitive imo, hence why I wont buy any when im trying to push myslef like the rest of you djing. Thats all, sorry to offend any of you im sure the mix cd is wicked craig but I just find most of uberdrucks releases sound the same, my opinion thats all! :D

    Yeah no worries mate.
Before i just wanted to explain my reasons thats all.
Its like i said, basically this mix was just purely for fun. I fancied some acid trance, so i picked out some of my Fav Acid Trance tunes, and then just mixed on the fly....just mixed from there on in.

At the end i was pretty happy considering there was no pre-preparation going into this mix.

In a bit though, i'm going to do a proper 'studio mix' with a lot of thought going into the tracks and structuring of the mix.
    I'll send the mix aswell.
    I keep you all posted.................

Right, i've got the following names for my mix:

    Sargent
    French Og
    Pilgrimpete
    Trance Addict
    Boxy
    Elle
    Bear
    Macca

5cd's will be sent (thanx to cascade) and the rest tapes.
I know that cascade is in the process of preparing copies for me.
People that are on the Hard Trance/Rave Discussion regularly will be getting CD's....its only fair.

    Cheers,

I think people were a bit out of order coming on this post and moaning about people playing Uberdruck tunes. It should have been started on another post. Sorry mate.
