id skip those m1's they sound like shit compared to other monitors in the price range, a really cheap hollow sound..

as ive said a heap of times dont buy tapco or behringer. they are made with really crappy cheap components & my friend at digital village says they are the things that get sent back broken the most. Like a set a day or somthing. Everyone i know who has owned the behringers has had them die, same goes for M-audios actually..

Id look at passive K-roks or fostex PM-1's or 2's they are certainly a class above those others and they can kick out some noise.

£500+ its gotta be mackie, adam or genelec
