    Default monitor placement?

    just wondering how far apart you guys have ur monitors and whats the recommended distance?

    i have 2 technics and a pioneer set up on a desk and at the moment my monitors are placed either end of this on professional monitor stands

    they are central for dj mixing, but totally off when producing, which is when i need it more :lol:

    definately have to be facing u for production, left and right with u placed ideally in the middle

    Ideally equi-distant from you at 30 degree angles is supposedly ideal. Try keep them away from walls and especially corners unless you like lots of bass response!

    Thats 30 degrees from the imaginary centre line between the listener and the line that would run from speaker to speaker making a right angle with the centre line.

    Have been trying to solve this problem for months...

    ...I know the theory, but if I put my computer and mixer in the right place for the speakers the sun glares on the monitor... grrr!
    Pure F*ckin' Noize Terror...
