Easy - Setup 4 tracks for the hats with the patterns/loops in them.
Now setup one track for the group.
    Now setup 4 extra tracks.

Point the Audio To from the hat tracks all to the group track.
Point the Audio From on each of the extra tracks to correspond to each of the respective hat tracks.

Don't forget to turn the Monitoring on for each of the extras and the group track.

    ;)

Ableton is like my new favourite thing. I've spent the last week boucing down all the key parts from our old tracks into loops, there's like about 150 of them now and turning it into this monster live set and it's sooooo much fun I think i'm gonna have to go play with it now :)

Who are the guys who make the dedicated control surfaces for it?

Faderfox.de is the only one I can remember that says their controller is specifically for Live.
I really want a couple but they don't ship to the States... :P
