I'm curious to see what any fellow (amature so far!) hard trance producers are doing/comming up with? What setup your using?

Ive been Producing hard trance ( and hard house ) for about 6 months together with one of my m8's ( Andy-m). We have got some pretty good equipment considering we have'nt been doing it long. This is what we have got so far :



Novation supernova ( One hell of a piece of kit this is ! )

Emu 6400 sampler

My old Yamaha psr5700 keyboard

berihnger compresser

focusrite compresser ( dont tust my spelling ! )

A couple of different reveb units

Berihnger 32 desk

Samson amp & Spirit monitors

Roland 303

And its all controled by Cubase vst/32, Don't ask me What computer its coz I aint got a clue but it works !



We are learning all the time how to use the equipment, especialy the super nova, Its one hell of a bit of kit. You can do almost anything on this, its just working out how to do it !

If anybody has any tips on doing things on there let me know !!

Use a 303 roland synth mate,thats what i use,got sum really good crispy sounds...

Uberdruck use Rebirth for acid!!!!!!!! Can you believe it?!!!

Can't believe Uberdruck uses rebirth for acid....is he boosting it up with some fat extra effects?? Must have a mutts nutts soundcard.

I am making hard trance with the following....
Yamaha rm1x sequencer, access virus b, novation ks5, rebirth, akai s2000 sampler, soundforge, recycle, jomox airbase 99 drum machine.

I am heavily influenced by scot project. I love the hard german trance sound, big drums, big rolls, big builds, but I also like the UK hard trance riffs....so I am trying to kinda combine the two at the moment. Big uplifting dirty twisted riffs over some mad hard drumloops, huge beats.
I am a bit crap at the mix-down though and everything I do sounds like it is recorded in a dustbin!!!

Anyone from the Hudds/Yorkshire area fancy hooking up for some tune production?????

i actualy use rebirth for Acid too ,its very good for it IMO

you can tease an acid sound out of most analogue monosynths, but for that real real acid sound its all about the stepsequencer. i think rebirth or a genuine tb303 do it the best..
however my fave bit of kit athe mo is my alpha juno controlled by my RS7k sequencer.FAT
