I'm hearing so much sampled hardstyle rubbish or very old and poor efforts on hard trance. There's been a few brilliant productions over the last few months, but I've snapped them up and find I can't add to them. I've recently been going back through the older stocks trying to find some good tunes that I've missed... it's hard work.

We need a flurry of hard trancers to keep us going... but I'm not sure where it will come from.

    Rats.
yeah i find myself picking up on the older stuff i have missed too, but there aint shit all out there to be honest i aint had a good mix for weeks as im bored of playing they same old tunes i always find new ones make it so much better and exciting.

also dj's i have heard out are playing quite a lot of dated stuff, i aint heard a fresh set for a long time

i agree with hakka also there is shit loads of club trance out and even the hard trance comming out aint 'hard' really

    CD's... ;)

I've been hassling producers for tracks's, downloading mp3's off ATS Digital, asking for CD's off budding producer's...

You just can't rely on vinyl for your set's...ther hasn't been much out I agree, and to be honest I think it was mainly down to the demise of Alphamagic....but they are slowly coming back again and so we will just have to see what happens over the coming months...

To be honest, I don't think it will stay like this for long...

Plus it's also down to variety, I don't JUST listen to Hard Trance, I play Trance and Techno aswell, so for me, I spose it hasn't affected me as much...

You really have to search hard, or just suffer like everyone else, just checking germantrance isn't going to suffice...you need to build up a huge directory of online vinyl sites, search for upcoming tracks that you can get hold of and learn to mix on cd!!!

    My two drachma...

the thing is that a lot of clubs dont have cd decks, so u need mainly vinyl. I also play a bit of trance and hardstyle but doesnt make up for the lack of hard trance

I probs would play little hard trance if it wasnt for cd decks at the mo, findin it hard to get a hold of stuff on vinyl, apart fi drucks etc....

but then everyone has them, so cds are deffo a class way of being that little bit more unique.
