well i really sympathise with miss kitten here actually.
it sounds like she's had some real weirdness happen to her a few too many times , and people waiting to get to her while her "assistant has gone to the toilet" sounds like a nightmare actually.

thing is this kind of thing doesn't happen to the most of us as we are just not at her level. ( you can kick my head in later)
she stood in for carl cox for christ sake! at sonar too!
i mean i'm not saying she's at his level either but....come on that's a big one.
just the simple fact that most of the people who have replied to this post have seen her is testament to the fact that she is very well known.

have you any idea what it would be like to be someone like her in different countries around the world ( clubs / parties etc full of really out-of-it people)

i mean england is fairly cool with star dj's ( well london is ) but as you move out of the centres and into more provincial places or head to south america or other techno starved countries you realise that it can be a very different story.

people can come at you lunging out of the darkness , knock you over , skip your records , shout in your ear , spill their drink in your record box ( it happened to me 3 times in a month ...but that's another story)
it can get really scary at time especially when you are on your own and you really don't know the people at all

i've signed countless autographs / taken millions of photo's with people stood and listened to people ranting at me in foreign languages ( including drunken english) and like mark all with a smile on my face

but i can understand how it can upset you that people can SEEM so bloody SHALLOW!!

at the end of the day
ms kitten has lost her sense of humour , or had it beaten out of her
and she's bitter about that.
and i can't say i blame her
i hope she get's over it.

no ..most of the time i really enjoy chatting about stuff with people at parties and gigs , i mean i like to socialise anyway so for me it's fun.
but i can get really oppressive , and confusing and sometimes scary.
i mean we all have our personal space right?

Saw Kitten play late last year. She played to the crowd, alot of predictable stuff but also some killer electro tracks, danced like a loon, smiling all the way and was more than happy to shake a few hands.

Just wish she hadn't had all those tatoos plastered on her arm

hmmm she has "inhale" on one shoulder and "exhale" on the other .. quite funny .....
