or i could just post it here.

    Interview with Jon The Baptist
    aka
    The Elite (Future Sound Corporation)
    PRO-T.O.N. (Future Sound Corporation)

Corbzy: Okay Jon, Introduce yourself quickly in a few brief sentences.

Jon: Erm, well im quite lazy... except when it comes to trance, and other 4 beat music... Nothing moves me like dance music. (literally, i dont move for anything else :o)

Corbzy: What first inspired you to become a DJ, who were your main influences?

Jon: Hardcore inspired me! and im well gratefull.... DJ's Slipmatt, Vibes, Dougal etc etc... it got me into 4 beat dance music, and without going to hardcore raves, i would have never discovered trance.

Corbzy: Where was your first gig, and how seriously did you take it?

Jon: My first gig was at a party organised by Myself and Dave Spinout called Paranoia. I took it well seriously (but fluffed it up in quite some style!). But it was a start, and i enjoyed it loads.....

Corbzy: You were a resident at the legendary Country Club (Dorset, UK), describe your feelings of the club and how you felt when it closed.

Jon: You ****in had to ask that one didnt ya..... get the **sniff sniff** box of tissues out....... That place firmly constructed my love for dance music, i mean, without the c.c. i would still be into 4 beat music, but wouldnt have half the passion for it which i have. That place will live in the memories of DJ's, Clubbers and Wronguns alike........ RIP C.C.

Corbzy: Now over to your producing side, when did you first take an interest in producing?

Jon: Producing has taken me places DJ'ing never could. But not just me, my producing has taken a lot of the High Fish crew further than they could alone. And its fuddin wikkid. I love it, it will be a hobby for life. And theres nothing that makes me feel more motivated than producing a true bit of tear-jerking trance. Then the feeling of knowing that others are feeling those emotions too....... undescribable mup bags, i tell ya..........

Corbzy: You have been part of 3 releases on massive Italian Trance label ‘Future Sound Corporation’, how does it feel to hear your tune played by other DJ’s?

Jon: Well, it aint the feeling of knowing that a DJ is playing your tune, its the feeling that the ravers are listening to it. As i said above, the feeling of knowing that others are feeling those emotions too....... undescribable mup bags.

Corbzy: You part own ‘High Fish Recordings’ with good friend Iain Cross, how has the label developed and what are your plans for the future?

Jon: Dont forget Mup Bags Dave Spinout. Were all co-owners. But the label has been a homebase for everything we have ever done. The website has a great online community of clubbers and ravers, artists and DJ's, and its great for all these people to come together and find out what were doing. Hopefully the label will one day take off with another release... but High Fish has built up an amazing name for itself, and thanks to everyone involved!

Corbzy: And finally….Inform us of future releases and gigs. What are we to expect in the future?Jon: Future Releases include a remix by THE ELITE for Atomic Alliance, a Pro-ton ep, with three proton tracks, and an original unpressed Jon the Baptist track called 'Time Machine', aswell as the new THE ELITE single which should be released later this year. DJ wise, im slowly getting more bookings which is great, i love to play live as i love to let people hear the sounds which move me personally.... YEYNIT

Shout Outs: Iain, Dave, Helen, L.L.Wierd.G, Matt Clacher, Da Bards, Log:One (saddlebags), Kirsty, Little Hel, Matt Whiteside, Meri, Corbz Mup Bags himself, (too many to think off!) everyone else who i know!!!

Thanks to Jon for taking the time to answer these questions.
