R&B is HUGE in Holland and stil growing, it is replacing the former trance/hardcore/dancescene nearly completely.

ofcourse clubs, but it's disappearing from the public position where it used to be.

there are also loads of clubs that play urban music (as they call R&B)

there are 3 major music TV-networks: MTV, TMF & The Box.
in the old days they used to play a lot of dance, trance, even hardcore.
nowadays they play urban music simulteanously.
    same goes for radio.

the targeting audience for electronic styles has become way smaller than before (shrunk from about 1.250.000 persons to approx 350.000)
the parties are stil there, the audience is stil there (underground), but the amount that is was before in public isn't.
