Default how to record a dj set with a MOTU 828

    hey guys,

im a newb when it comes to wires and cables and stuff...

all i want to do is simply connect my DJM600 Pioneer mixer to my MOTU828 so i can record a DJ Set on Soundforge.

I bought a double headed RCA lead which turns into a headphone jack.

    now what do i do?

    thanks in advance.

are you having trouble on the MOTU side or soundforge side?
I could of course suggest that you read the instructions...

you'll need a dual mono cable. ie, two rca connectors on one end, two unbalanced 1/4" connectors on the other end. the stereo connector on your cable will not work.

    thanks for teh tips guys!

i finally got it to work. Somehow Soundforge was not recognizing the signal coming in from the cables even though everything was setup properly. It turned out to be a software adjustment i had to make on SF to make it record properly.

    thanks !
