otiumFX has updated BassLane to v1.1.

    Changes:

    Various compatibility updates & fixes.
    Added 12 dB/oct switch.
    Improved interface response.

Basslane is a simple, yet very handy little utility to control the stereo field of lower frequencies in your audio material.

    What is this useful for?

Regain tightness in the bottom of your mix by preventing kick drums and bass lines flying around all over the stereo field.
Drumtracks mixed from multiple sources, or processed with delay, reverb etc will often just sound confusing if the kickdrum isn't centered. Just drop Basslane on the track.
Experiment with effects on various tracks without losing definition and focus in the bass region.

    Memory

Memory is a buffer repeat / phrase sampler effect created specifically with live performance in mind. Memory allows you to loop incoming audio (in forward and reverse), change the loop size on the fly, and filter it, all while staying locked to the tempo. Memory is also their first plugin to offer native support for the P5 Data Glove which should excite people looking for creative/alternative control methods.

Everytime I look theres like 5 more pages and 50 more plugins in this thread....

But Im looking for something particular... Working on a tune at the min that has an arabic sounding theme and texture to it. Want to now add wailing horns, or maybe some heavily filtered arabic sounding strings without ripping off the obvious tunes like the Horn track on Missle or anything else...

Long shot but Loopdon your challenge is to find me a soft synth that does something like that?!?!?!

    Good luck mate?

PS PM me back got some files for you....

Just something I want to point out..

When using free plugins take care (esp when its numerous ones in a chain) and save your projects a lot.

I was using a couple of them the other day and SX crashed (which doesnt happen much), lost a bit of work but nothing I couldnt redo.

    Cheeers

    Minion

Minion has four filters that can be modulated by up to twelve LFOs.

Minion has balls - four of them, pinging and swinging their way around an innovative XYZ pad that's used to control the plug-in and to give visual feedback. For each ball, there's an effect module, and each of those can produce one of a variety of filter effects, including several filter/distortion combinations.

Minion also comes with numerous presets that demonstrate the range of audio warping possible.

AlgoMusic's Arpy is a free virtual analogue vsti plugin for windows.
Features includes a unison oscillator with selectable number of voices, an arpeggiator, synced LFO's and delay. It is described as a "groove generator with a unique sound".
Included are presets designed by Tim Conrardy, and a user bank designed by Relayer which is excellent as well.

vst instruments and effects created using Synthedit

    Free VSTi - Voc-one

Choirs can give any kind of music a lift, but sampled choirs are not versatile and many vocal synthesize concentrate so hard on trying to sing a lyric that they forget to carry a tune.

Ever wondered how Tomita created such convincing choir sounds...

Voc one is different, using a simple analogue synthesizer to simulate the glottal pulse or pulses and then using a powerful, morphable formant filter bank to give a realistic, warm and flexible vocal quality:

full control over each stage of the vocal synthesis
morphable formant filter with 11 recognised phonetic vowel spectra
morphing between vowels sounds subtle and natural
control over the register of the formant filter and the emphasis to give a much greater range of possible vocal types
8 presets plus room for 8 more
built in high quality reverb (UDReverb based on freeverb - thanks to Elogoxa and David Haupt for this)
    lots of potential for experimentation.
It should be noted that CPU usage is quite high with this one and a minimum 1.2GHz processor is recommended, although it will work (if the playing is not too complex) on an 800MHz processor.
