    There's a new beta version of the nice 'Omniverb' by Jeroen Breebart i just found...

    "For those who would like to do some testing...

    The link below points to a beta version of omniverb 2.0.1:

    I think the sound quality has improved quite a lot;
    and there are two new switches: one for more complex reverb
    and one to have a non-deterministic (dynamic) reverb (more randomness).
    Both do have some impact on the CPU usage though, but
    without these options switched on it's still as low as version 1 (but with better quality...)"

    Like the original, the plugin is capable of self-resonance and thus could be used to some degree as a tone generator.
    The filter section also features controls for envelope amount and polarity, LFO modulation and keyboard tracking. In addition, a non-resonant highpass filter is provided to thin out lower frequencies.

    The U-NO-60, notwithstanding, few parameters, can make a wide range of different and
    exciting sounds.

    * Polyphonic (6 voices)
    * Bandlimited oscillators
    * One syncable LFO with five different waveforms
    * 24 dB lowpass filter with self oscillation, non-resonant high-pass filter
    * Fast ADSR envelopes
    * Smooth cutoff changes (also with midi controllers)
    * Velocity sensitive filter envelope
    * Midi learn for all potis
    * Supports all sample rates
    * 20 Presets

    This Juno emu is supposedly becoming better and better; so is Omniverb:

    "JB Omniverb has been updated to version 2.0.1. Changes include an improved gate algorithm, completely re-designed early reflections / late reverb algorithms, and new late reverb modulation control parameters. "

    kitchen sync 2

    kitchen sync is a tempo-sync complex LFO that modulates 4 functions
    - 4 state filter (LP, HP, BP, notch)
    - flanger
    - volume
    - panning

    features
    - tempo-sync LFO with multiple waveforms modulated by second LFO and/or ADSR envelope
    - both LFOs can be synced to start cycle by any midi note on message
    - ADSR envelope can be triggered by any midi note on message
    - 4 effects can be modulated: filter cutoff, flanger, volume, pan
    - LFO 1 phase, depth and offset can be different for each effect
    - LFO 2 phase, strength and origin can be different fo each effect
    - ADSR envelope is independant for each effect
    - LFO depth can be randomised each cycle
    - full midi CC / midi learn

    Scanned Synth Mini is now available for download from the link below. It features the same synthesis engine as the one used by Scanned Synth Pro (in other words they sound the same when using the same presets) but only allows new sounds to be programmed through randomisation. The user can set the amounts by which each group of parameters will be randomised but does not have direct access to the parameters themselves.

    Scanned Synth Mini can load and save presets through the host application that are compatible with Scanned Synth Pro and vice versa. This means that Scanned Synth Mini can actually produce the full range of sounds that Scanned Synth Pro is capable of. Only the amount of control the user has over the sound is limited when compared to Scanned Synth Pro.

    Scanned Synth Mini is completely free without any limitations. We plan to produce a Mac version of Scanned Synth Mini in the future.

    If you find that you need the additional features that Scanned Synth Pro has to offer, just install it and Mini will be replaced by Pro in all your tracks without you having to do anything.

    Scanned Synth Mini does not have its own documentation. The manual that comes with it is the one for Scanned Synth Pro.

    thrummaschine is a 3-band distortion effect with independant, LFO-driven filters. Make your bass, mid and high frequencies oscillate at different speeds, shapes and pan, with whatever flavour and level of distortion you dial in for each band

    - 3 user-defined bands for bass, mid and high freqencies, with overlap if required
    - 3 filters with tempo-sync LFO, for each freq band
    - overdrive, distortion and bitcrush effects
    - send level for each band to each effect
    - pan and volume for each band

    !!WARNING!! Thrummaschine is capable of nasty loudness if you push the settings hard, keep volumes low while you play with the controls

    Weird GUI but great sounding EQ that takes very low CPU power:

    IIEQ

    The EQ from the street: the younger brother of the IIEQ Pro has all the potential to become a big guy himself, but prefers to hang out all day instead, that lazy slacker! Maybe you are the one who can finally make him work?

    http://ddmf.eu/plugins/IIEQ.dll

    SmallEQ

    Sick and tired of huge GUIs taking up all your screen space? Want an EQ that easily fits in your pocket but sounds just like the big guys? Then it's time to meet SmallEQ!

    No, we haven't accidentally cut off 90 percent of the image, this is it: the worlds smallest EQ. The worlds smallest 10-band EQ, to be precise. Eight fully parametric bands together with one low- and one highshelf filter give you the full engine of the IIEQ on exactly 9135 square pixels.

    not sure if this has been posted.........

    I've used this before, pretty dope little synth

    ASynth is a six voice virtual analog synthesizer featuring two oscillators and three circuit modelled filters.

    Features:

    6 Voice polyphony.
    2x/4x/8x selectable oversampling.
    MIDI CC automation.
    Two oscillators:
    Osc 1 with sawtooth and square waveforms.
    Osc 2 with sawtooth and pulse waveforms.
    Three circuit modelled filters:
    MS20: 12 dB/oct lowpass filter with signal level dependent resonance.
    Mini: 24 dB/oct lowpass filter from the 60's.
    XPander: Multimode 24 dB/oct filter with 16 different responses.
    Two ADSR envelopes (VCF and VCA).
    One LFO with 6 waveforms.

    "My interests lie in modeling analog electronics and especially the nonlinearities inherent in them. The focus is on sound quality, so don't complain if they use more cpu than your typical VST plugins. All of them use oversampling to avoid aliasing"

    New from Christian Budde (ElectricQ):

    since it is common these days to release an EQ, here's my contribution to it: 'Noname EQ'.
    A 7-band tracking EQ, designed for low CPU usage with the best possible sound quality.

    It started as test engine for new EQ technologies. Then abused for the Int vs. Float EQ challenges. Now, since there is no more need for the plugin and since I have to focus on my studies for a while, I thought about releasing it.

    Fragmental

    A complex multi-fx plugin incorporating a delay, granulator, three phase vocoder effects, a reversinator, and three types of modulation source. Incorporates a very flexible routing scheme capable of serial and parallel effects routings, and a new kind of modulation routing based on a kind of pie chart representation. This plugin was developed in conjunction with shamann from KVR. (C++)

    The code for the phase vocoder effects comes from the PVOC plugins (Trans, Exag, Accum), at: http://people.bath.ac.uk/masrwd/pvplugs.html. It should be noted that the presence of the phase vocoder effects mean the plugin has a constant delay of 7680 samples, although PDC-capable hosts will compensate for this.

    Note: Some of the presets are quite loud, so you may want to turn your speakers down when you're exploring them.

    RUBBERFILTER is a stereo filter which also allows you to process each channel seperately. A magnitude display bar at the bottom provides a preview of what is filtered out.
    The plugin offers filters of up to 384dB/Oct and you can change the steepness in 6dB steps starting from 6dB/Oct. Here's a plot of 4 different filter orders (2nd, 4th, 8th and 64th order = 384dB/Oct):

    You can download the plugin either from
    http://www.savioursofsoul.de/Christi...bberfilter.exe
    or from
    http://www.doussis.com/freeware/vst/rubberfilter.exe

    I have an older version of rubberfilter but this new one looks great. You gotta try it to believe it.

    ...sounds interesting...

    Steady VST plugin freeware.

    Steady works as a smooth auto leveler, or see it as a expander/limiter with some special EQ enhancing.
    Can work on some mixes but does magic on vocals and instruments, just try it.
    Mono and stereo versions included.
    Two Selectable level-models and bypass function.
    Just put it on a your track and it "steady" it.
