    Default Recording question?

When mixing my track on my outboard desk, i tend to pan certain instruments around the stereo field. When i pan buss 1 hard left and hard right, then record into soundforge, save the file, put both left and right pan pots back to the centre, then play it back, the pan on buss 1 does not seem to have recorded. Please can anyone help????

    Strange.
And what did the pot meters in soundforge told you before you recorded the track?

i dont use soundforge, but see if the S.F. track is a mono track, it will only play back/ record the pan details if track is set to stereo. otherwise you will have to set the pan on S.F.

Try recording the left and right seperately just to see if the software is acting correctly or not, and then go from there. ;)
