something you liked from my recent posts concerning vsts?
another good way and i love this way....
wire whatever loop ur usin through a Malstrom in reason.... ull b amazed!! especially if u flick through the patches
ull only get a response from the 2 filters, the distortion and modulator B. tempo sync the filter control in modulator B and mess with the rate and waveforms.
the distortion will give u a nice crunchiness
some examples maybe?
a simple pattern:

the same patter wired thru a malstrom with the 'snare' patch from reason factory sound back (basically alot of noise dist):

the distortion taken off and the filter control set up high and a sine waveform:
