    Default advise please

I run Logic6 on a macG4 powerbook 867mhz 768ram. My OS is Panther. I use a tascamUS-122 as an audio interface. I have two hardware synths, an mpc, and a 12 channel mixer. I plan on buying more hardware (probably some tweeky little step sequencer boxes) as the pocketbook recovers. I want to be able to record all of my hardware seperately onto seperate tracks in logic...synth1 on audio track 1, kick on audio track 2, snare on audio track 3...and so on, so that I can use Logic plugs to process each sound individually. Right now with the tascam I can only record one track at a time. which make recording a jam (which is primarily how I write a rough draft of my tracks) a pain in the ass...

looking to pay less than $1,000.00US, but would like to keep it as cheap as possible, of course. But without compromise on sound quality and ease-of-use.

    thanks for any suggestions.

    I second that!
Once I have some cash and once other more necessary gear is bought, I am going to replace my Echo Layla20 with one of these puppies.

    thanks for the responses!
I was looking at the motu828mkII, but I thought that there may be something else out there that you lot use and swear by. Seems like the motu is pretty bad ass, but pretty expensive too. It is hard to spend $750 on something that doesn't make noise...alas it needs to be done.
