alright elle, Ive just started making tunes, I would have to agree with mark on one half there, I think Fruity is the best idea. I'm having loadsa fun with it and prefer it to reason.

I have to disagree with Corbzy, I think Reason 2 pisses all over Fruity Loops 1, 2, 3 etc and Reason 2.5 is out now with added features.

Elle I'm in the same boat as you, I've only recently started messing around with Fruity. The tutorials on it are wicked you can more or less teach yourself.

buy a good chord book from a book shop.... learn chords and then you'll be really good at melodies.

Piano Roll is good for melodies, send the sound in your channel to Piano Roll and its pretty much straightforward from there, its like a composer.

I can C a new thread comin' up
    Reason vs Fruity...

    I don't wish 2 start any flames...
But I would take fruity over Reason anyday... WHY...

Just the fact that u can still use all yer favourity VSTi/ DXi/ VST Plug Ins/ Dx Plug Ins with it... :)

Also I find very annoying all the major clicks and drags I have do 2 4 a simple think in Reason...

I think Reason is a big beats and has a lot 2 show 4... fruity loops simpler, but is it really....!?!?! I THINK NOT!!

Anyways, it's the "ends" that counts not the "means"..

Again no wish 2 start a war, I just think many people don't really dig deep with fruity thus getting a wrong idea!
