His writings and philosophies, align very much with techno in so many ways, and his audio recordings and collaborations are fantastic.
While Burroughs cut up style's influence in the world of literature is undeniable, I think its a bit of a murky association to draw it to music. John Cage and Pierre Schaeffer were messing with taking found sounds long before Naked Lunch was even a thought. Burroughs was just a famous resonating point for an idea that had been bouncing around human consciousness for sometime.
