Default the future of techno.....b.o.a. tracks in new styles!!!!!

well i'm gonna carry on from that " face the challenge " thread
mainly because it doesn't seem to open any more for me
but also because i've had an idea , or a challenge really.
i would like to hear each of us place a link within the next 2 weeks or so of a track ( made by us) that really isn't in our usual style, but is still techno .
what do you guys think? is this daft or possible?
i think "techno" should be all encompassing including all styles. the criteria being that it must break some new boundaries for you as a producer , and hopefully it will break some boundaries for techno too.
in fact if the tracks are good enough i'll release them , but they have to be releasable ( and that doesn't mean dancefloor , just good)
    so what do you think?

sounds like a good challenge, will be cool to see what everyone can come up with, considering it has to "break new boundries" . We at the collective will have a blast at something but no doubt they will just end up "plain old bangin"

    woops!!!
sorry didn't realise there was such a similar thread around.
o.k. well i still think there is room for both projects
i think there should be a bit more than 2 weeks though for this one
how about running this one until the end of april???
that's plenty of time and it'll give people to rework things if they aren't quite there.

    and one more thing
just to emphasise.....it has got to be different music from what you usually make
if you normally make banging tracks then try something more chilled maybe....i don't know but let's really try together to push the genre on.....no musical boundaries...true electronic experimentation....try to forget that techno ever exsisted and then create your masterpiece.....
and if anyone puts up a 165 bpm acid techno track ....you will die!!!!

also i realise this is in the wrong forum so it'll probably get moved soon
    so sorry about that
    love your mum

So it can be something that is totally not suitable for a standard DJ set.

gotta say, i like the way this discussions going. more diversity has got to be good for the scene, but also for the producers, imho.

jus wondered if this is open to people (like me) who maybe write music but haven't had it put out.

the reason i ask is that i don't feel that most of the stuff that i knock together doesn't really fit into any of the sub-genre's that make it easy to describe your music, or maybe it's just shit?
