    Default Penguin Cafe Orchestra

    http://www.penguincafe.com/home.htm

Just an appreciation post about these ppl
(well thought its best posted here as probably known about more by ppl here or appreciated)

Ive only heard a few classical and minimalistic pieces by them.
Havnt heard all of their stuff as much as id love too. This is also an excuse for me to research them more and hear other opinions :)
When i did contemporary dancing for my GCSE's had the pleasure of dancing / researching 'Still Life At The Penguin cafe'.

'Lie back & Think of England' is so lovely very uplifting and emotional .

i'm so glad somone else has discovered the genius of the p.c.o.
they are one of my biggest influences.
i've seen them a few times live and they were amazing
though i was very sad to hear of composer simon jeffe's death
    in 2000 . ( cancer )

anyone who doesn't know this music ....go look them up now!
and be prepared to ope your mind!
they are on brian eno's edition imprint , and you will not be dissapointed.
innocent , folky , bluesy classical , hypnotic all in one.

    my fave album
"signs of life" followed closely by " music from the penguin cafe"

check out tracks " wildlife" and " telephone and rubber band"

    what a wonderful post
thank you for reminding me miss bass!
    love your mum

    "Music for a found harmonium"

Such a beauty, so many good morning memories with that one.
Music to stave away the dark and scary forces which rear their heads from time to time.

And curiously introduced to me by my Dad.
