    Default vestax mixers

I`m thinking about getting a new mixer, since I own numark dm 1002mx, which is.......nothing special. But, I don`t have much money, so i`m thinking about vestax pcv-180 or pcv-175. Has anyone use `em? What`s your opinion?

I used to have one for a few years. It's a pretty good mixer really. If you can afford the 275 then get it as its a different class of mixer again.

The 175/180 is a 3 channel mixer with high/mid/low eq's. The kill switches are pointless because they crackle when they are used. But its very good as a smoother mixer as it has very long faders. The cross fader can't take much punishment though.

It's good for its value, but I'd recommend saving to get the 275, as that's a much better mixer.

I know 275 is much better, but just can`t afford it.... now. I think I`ll settle with 180, or maybe 275. thanks for the tip. cheers

yeah I can't stress enough how much better the 275 is. The 175/180 is very good, but you just get such better quality and build with the 275.

build quality or sound quality as well? As I see it, 180 is much better than 175, it has more features, maybe the same as 275, and it`s 100 euros cheaper? just want to get this straight, so I don`t make another mistake. as a matter of fact, I have worked on 275, and I liked it, but never tried 180 or 175.....

No question about it, be patient and save up for the PCV275 - an outstanding mixer which can hold its own against anything a hundred pound dearer...

both mate. Sound Quality is better and so is the build. I found the cross fader on the 175 broke very easy and your looking at one of the faders going wrong once a year. I had a 175 for 3 years before moving on to an Allan & Heath. The 175 is a good mixer, but for the extra money you REALLY do get a better mixer overall with the 275. The 180 was just a more modern version of the 175 (hardly any difference to my knowledge). You will notice the difference between the 175 and 275. The 275 will last longer, give you less problems, be more robust and will sound much better.
