    set up your sound card
choose that input type/number for the In for the routing on the track you want to record on
hit the arm recording button for that track
    shazam

I find it easier to record directly into an editor (wavelab etc) rather than Live. I can never quite get the sounds to sit right when i record in Live - I'm using it in ext sync mode though and i think that has something to do with it.

don't forget to make use of the info window in the lower left corner of the screen. frequently it will tell you all you need to know as you move around the app.

This reminds me of something I was going to play about with, using as a fx unit for my decks. I've probably got a lttle bit of rewiring to do though first with all the cables.
