    hi guys,
    could giv me bit of info on soundforge. might buy it today see. im on mac. can you trim samples init, does it hav hiss reduce and all them fx to clean up samples. and also does it work osx audiounits. and when speeding up samples with it does it giv you a reading of wot bpm the loop is at and the bpm of wot you are timstreching the loop to ie 130 to 155.

    Yes, you can. It does all your basic sample manipulation stuff.

    Yes, there are a variety of FX for cleaning up your samples.

    Yes, you can tell it to go from a certain BPM to another BPM.
    You can also work in percentages (e.g. a 50% increase in speed).

    Sorry it´s PC only, but it is a helluva´ program, better buy yourself a PC.

    oh no! didnt order today. yeah that was great help! cheers. i'll check out audacity. cant afford to geta pc. i'll hav to tri somthing else. do you guys kno of cooledit?. i've heard of it but not sure if it does wot i need. i kno it has fx for cleaning up and to trim and things. but does it let you take a wav speed it up and then sav it back as a wav?. and isit osx and any good. cheers dudes

    shit looks like cool edit is pc only aswell. couldnt download the free one. coz the pc that im on the internet with doesnt hav a cd burner.

    edit.. well i can download it for the pc just cant get it on my mac. where all the musics to

    no worrys man. does look good. i wonder if it has his reduce. audacity had a noise reduce but no hiss or clip ruduce. cooledit has got good things for that but its not for mac. ermmm lost in audio editors :lol:

    when timestretching with BPM how come i always get a reading of 120bpm on any sample to start with?

    i use peak le at work with my students...

    it's utter shite. very very few functions are available in LE version.
