Some people take it as a way of just showing their skills and mashing up shit. I think it actually shows less skill. To effectively and intelligently rework the samples you are given into a new version that still has the feel and elements of the original, is real skill.
However with some remix jobs, you are given so little to work with that it makes the job difficult.
I`ve been asked to do remixes and have been given like, 2 samples and shit, so I just ended up not doing it.
Just to clear up this comment. It`s not aimed at you ritzi, more just how remixes have changed within the techno genre to their current accepted state.
