    Default What hardware should I get?

    Have been using cubase to sequnce vst's making dancefloor/chilled 808 electro type stuff but I really want to start using hardware so I can play it live my problem is I dont know where to start, some peole have recomended a sampler?

    Any one recomend anything?

    the AKAI MPC2000XL is a popular choice but a little finiky to use. around 500-650 GBP depending on which add-on boards its has - for live use you'll really need the 8output board.

    A laptop and ableton live is what i use, it might suit you.

    A yamaha RM!x and an AKAI s2000 also could serve your purpose or you might try the yamaha su700.

    mpc 1000 would be nice. because you get the fx init and it takes 128 ram and i think it even comes with the 8 output. where as the mpc2000 you can only put 32 mb ram init and it doesnt come with fx or 8 output. just my op

    Nah, get yer self a Roland SH-09 and pretend you're Vince Clark - I just happen to have one for sale on ebay, check me earlier posting ;)
