    typical gobshite!

Whats he on about, "if hardhouse gets any faster it'll turn into techno"? I think u mean hardcore there u stupid cunt. How the hell is he the manager of a record label :?

Did I read that wrong or did he say that sundissential has alot to do with the birth of hardtrance?

oh & trance is apparently dead everybody! another obvious attempt to get everyone to listen to what he tells them to.

Because hard house is no longer an appealing name, and they have started to use some trancey snippets in their productions, they r calling it hard trance which is mental. Hard trance started in the early 90s and has been the most diverse (along with techno in my opinion) dance music there is.

This is another jump ship as hard house no longer sells.

Hes still a hard house dj no matter what they call him. Hard house is shite and it will never replace hard trance

And bollox to those who say otherwise.

We real trance ppl will continue to push new sounds of trance not them
Ure not mad enough, u don\'t belong in this house

its a publicty stunt...dont get stressed people we know and they know that the underground will have the most innovative idea

really nothing to worry about keeps the underground a low profile how it should be done, imagine if they said mark eg or m zone in that quote?

"for the Hard House growth in the North, definitely, I think that Tidy Trax and Sundissential has got a lot to do with that. The death of Trance has also got a lot to do with it, people just seemed to get fed up with Trance and the natural progression was to move to Hard House, and everyone’s playing it now."

This is total bollocks, people havnt got fed up with trance at all ! hes bound to f**kin say that isnt he, he wants u to buy his music. WHAT THE HELL everybody isnt playing hard house either LOL this is bullshit

And the type of so called hard trance on Tidy and Sundissential isnt what id class as hard trance either, its like a mix of hard house and trance, its all got that tidy sound to it.

    Ingo says this aswell....

"I think it is going to definitely get stronger this year. Perhaps one day it will start dying out like the trance thing did but I think it's got another year in it definitely."

I get the feeling this was writen quite ahwile ago like 2000/2001 or something, trance hasnt died out its still being produced, but the best stuff was from 1999 i think personally.

I honesty think the word "trance" should of not ever been used for what came out on compilations in the past as the music which ended up on them with respect, is FAR off what was playing in the underground world. It's just not the same. Trance when it supposedly peaked had no hard edge to it and was mainly UK label stuff on these compliations so this just shows me that there is just such a gap between the underground world and the mainstream that they honestly can't share the same name. Things like PPK - Resuercetion which make the jump happen... but that's only because they are tame enough to be marketed for the commercial world. I hate references to Trance peaked in the past as the real magic producers of trance i.e Scot Project, Uberdruck, Shokk, Flutlict etc... have been keeping the quality comming for the past 3 years.

Try this everyone... go to Yahoo! Chat and go to an american music room. Ask them if you can play hard trance to them. They will all say no. Ask them why. I garantuee they will say this "trance sucks man... it died years ago". So surely this proves that this mainstream rape of the name trance a few years back is completly distorting the reality of trance music? People have no idea how entertaining trance music can be when unless you have been following it in the underground world through DJ's such as Mark himself and M-Zone for years.

Now look at Lee Haslam. Without a doubt, he is a talented DJ & Producer. He can mix well and he can produce at a good level (I appreciate that people may not like his style or his sound but with regard to technical skill). But has Lee Haslam been playing trance for all his career? NO. Has M-Zone been playing Hard House? If so I didn't ever see him play it. Has Mark Eg been jumping around and spinning hard house? I don't think so... correct me if I'm wrong. So by this I think it would seem very arrogant and wrong for Lee Haslam to be considered a Hard Trance legend... and hypocritical statement since he classes trance to be the same music which died in the past. Also, his timing of the switch to playing hard trance over hard house couldn't of been better... or is it just conincedence that when hard house became less popular and hard trance started to get acknowledgement over it in underground clubs he also was changing style?

The truth is that he is hard house man that instead of staying true to his style he has changed to accomodate what has become more popular in the now so he can keep making money... Right or wrong? I don't know... I just feel it's wrong to change what you play if you love what your playing? I'm not saying Hard House wasn't popular just that times change and if DJ's don't take Mark Eg's & M-Zone's example in staying true to a genre which you love then what kind of DJ are you?

Ok, things like PPK - Resuercetion which make the jump happen... but that's only because they are tame enough to be marketed for the commercial world. I hate references to Trance peaked in the past as the real magic producers of trance i.e Scot Project, Uberdruck, Shokk, Flutlict etc... have been keeping the quality comming for the past 3 years.

Bah... the real matter is do we really give a shit? - **** him. Let him do what he wants and if people like that and pay to see him then fairplay. If they don't like him... than so be it. Truth is that he is right in his eyes and we think were right in ours. Let's move on and keep loving what we love in hard trance as well as embracing the future the genre has whatever that will be!

hmmm.. saying that... he must be a selfobsessed blind cunt if he thinks this...

What are your opinions on the birth and continued growth of Hard House, do you think that Tidy has had a hand in it all?
“Probably, yeah. Sundissential has got a lot to do with it, especially in the north of England. From the south of Birmingham Hard House is still trying to find it’s feet, I mean London is doing some big nights, which Nukleuz is obviously responsible for, places like Frantic and places like that which are massive, but to be honest we don’t really play down south. We always play Bournmouth way, we play a lot in the south east Bristol, Hereford, “Naughty but Nice” places like that but London is really Nukleuz orientated, but for the Hard House growth in the North, definitely, I think that Tidy Trax and Sundissential has got a lot to do with that. The death of Trance has also got a lot to do with it, people just seemed to get fed up with Trance and the natural progression was to move to Hard House, and everyone’s playing it now. You only need to look at the growth in our record sales for the last year and a half, it has always been on the rise but in the last year it’s just shot through the roof because everyone’s trying to be a DJ at the moment.”

This interview HAS TO BE just when hard house hit everywhere UK wise just after "commercial" trance died. If so then we should feel less angry as he was completely wrong about the future and it makes him look like even more of a hypicritcal dickhead since his "dying-trance-come-new futuer-hard house-come-bandwagon-hard-trance-money-earner-jump" history now tells.

Long live the queen I suppose.

The changing of style issue with DJ's I find interesting. I personally belive that if you stick to the music which you love through and through how can you go wrong? But for some DJ's I suppose if the genre isn't popular enough and in effect means that they are loosing out on money (if it's their full time form of work) then they may have to change the genre whic they play in order accomodate with demand so they can earn money.

    I just couldn't play something I didn't like. It's living a lie else.

This is a good point, i think it is very wrong for a dj to jump on the bandwagon for money, i dont see how it is possible to bang out music that your not even into let alone love.

I only have 4 words to answer to the original post, but its not just because of that link that i think this.

    Lee Haslam you twat!
